Second Tier Links

Second-tier links create a degree of separation between your websites and higher risk link building practices such as links from brokers.

By increasing URL Rating metrics on sites that naturally link to your site you can increase the “value” of your direct backlinks and without risking your brand on un-natural link warning type penalties.

Brokers may provide theme and authority relevant lists of links which in turn need to be mapped to the most sustainable targets of your second tier.

Sustainability is defined by the longevity of the direct backlink to your brand website. There is no point in buying links to other websites that may go away.

*Building 1000 links to a single tier 2 link will raise red flags.*

Therefore all link building MUST be managed incrementally by distributing it across many second-tier URL targets. This maintains a natural authority and growth curve in SEMRush metrics over time.
h3. *Second-tier must be contextually natural and permanent*

The content, reasoning or motivation for the links must follow a plausible logic. *Why* would site *x* link to site *y*?

We avoid all spam links and tactics that could potentially cause harm or for the 3rd party webmaster to disavow the link.

*Second-tier safety checks before linking (Don’t link)*
* 3rd party sites where there is a strong possibility that the *link could be lost*.
* Many *market competitors* would benefit from the link boost more than us.
* Ensure the link to the brand on the *2nd tier target is rel-follow*.
* 100% focused on authority by using the URL as the anchor text and variants of domain or page. “[www.domain.com/page/”|http://www.domain.com/page/], “domain.com/page”, “domain.com”, “[www.domain.com|http://www.domain.com/]”, “here” or “more info”, “visit site”,   and linking page to page.
