Internal Link Authority & Flow

Very often (particularly with acquiring high DR paid links) it is highly unnatural to point them directly to your money pages. Think about it. Suddenly a money page with 0-page authority out of the blue acquires 10 unique DA50 links pointing to it.

It does not make sense, and it’s unnatural.

This is why we look at blending High DA links into the site where possible. This would work by selecting groups of theme-related internal posts or pages and linking high DA links to them, then internally linking from those pages to your money pages contextually.

So if the brand manager wanted a slots page to rank, we find all the slots related posts (using the site : domain.com keyword command on google) and external link to them (over time from different websites) on the post itself we MUST ensure that we are contextually linking that post to the money slots pages internally and also to other slots pages.

This process mitigates the link risk and distributes the internal page authority to more pages, which in turn enables more pages to rank for their keywords.

*This also enables you to align contextually.*

Meaning that if you have a High DA website that is [about dogs] and you link it into the [dog slot page] on your brand it makes far more sense than if you linked an unrelated site [about dogs] website to your home page that has nothing to do with dogs.

All-natural links are contextual. Keep this in mind. Sometimes links might meet all the SEO authority criteria but there is nothing relevant to link it to on your website. In such circumstances, we may need to create relevant content on our websites to support a logical link from another website.
